The people at Wells Brothers will take a shot at answering almost any question. At times we do well and others not so much. We stay away from issues that should be checked by the medical field! But we look at a large amount of plants, leaves, bark, stems, bugs and yes, we even have folks bring in baggies full of animal poo for us to identify. So don’t be shy, bring it on in and let us take a look at it.
I talked to this fellow several days ago that said his oak tree has been suffering from cotton root rot for a couple of years and wanted to know what to do. Well, oaks aren’t very prone to cotton root rot (CRR). Besides nothing suffers from CRR for more than about 10 days. My next thought was “Oak Wilt”. The problem is that we see very little oak wilt. So I sent him to an Arborist. Then I ran across this link that has most of the information you need for oak wilt.
