This year’s long winter has taken it’s toll on lawns and landscaping. There has been so much frost damage this year and the grass has been really slow to wake up. Some of the St. Augustine grass is gone forever. You may need to re-sod. If you have not applied fertilizer, you need to do so now. Trees and shrubs are usually fertilized in mid winter. Like so many of us, if you missed this window, don’t worry. Just move the spreader a little closer to the beds and trees when you are applying fertilizer to your lawns.
