If you haven’t applied fertilizer to the lawn, now is the time. The heavy spring rains washed any fertilizer off the lawn. I will go on record by saying that if you fertilized before May 31st I would apply fertilizer again and do it before June 30th. This should be the last fertilization until fall.
The number of different fertilizers on the market are numerous as are the recommendations on what fertilizer to use. Here at Wells Brothers we try to keep up so here are our recommendation.
Bermuda lawns on the synthetic side:
16-20-0 with 12% sulfur in a 50# bag that covers 5 – 7 thousand square feet and sells for $25.95

6-2-4 Texas Tee in a 40# bag that covers 4,000 square feet and sells for $26.50.
