Hey! We’re at Wells Brothers down here in Plano, Texas and they have chicks in this week. They have three different types of chicks. We’ve got Buff Orpington, which lay your brown eggs, we’ve got Silver Laced Wyandottes which lay white eggs and you’ve got the Ameracauna. The Ameracauna lays blue, green, tan, all different colored eggs. All you need is a bag of starter, which you feed until they lay their first egg, which can be about 15 to 20 weeks. A bag of shavings, this is what you’re going to use as their bedding. A heat lamp, this is going to keep them warm until it is 65 degrees at night, and no colder.
